    At present, the main use of PTFE is as an exhaust gas purification filter for waste incinerators and coal boilers, non-metallic bearings, plastic fillers for reducing friction, and sewing yarns. Among them, the filter material is currently the largest PTFE application area. The high-temperature dust filter bag made of PTFE fiber is sold under the trade name "Jefaya" in Japan and has been widely used as a filter bag for municipal waste incinerators. As a filter material, the PTFE fiber can be purely spun or mixed with other fibers. The "Jefaya" felt is made by mixing glass microfibers with a diameter of about 6 μm with PTFE fibers and processing them into needle felts. This uniformly mixed fiber will produce positive flow through the flow of filtered gas. Negatively oppositely charged, such submicron-sized tiny dust can be electrically (collectively effected) captured, so the filtration efficiency is extremely high. Australian power plants also use PTFE filter bags on a large scale, because PTFE filter bags do not suffer from severe corrosion below the dew point temperature of acids, unlike meta-aramid fiber (NOMEX) filter bags.

    A novel high-efficiency, long-life, high-temperature resistant filter material developed from PTFE fibers, which is woven from a warp fiber and a weft fiber to a filter cloth, characterized in that the warp fiber strands are bundled by glass fibers. The fiber-forming line and the weft fiber line are assembled into a fiber line by a bundle of PTFE fiber bundles and a bundle of glass fibers. The glass fiber bundle of the warp fiber line, the number of the glass fibers per bundle is 60-600, each fiber diameter is 6-9 μm; the PTFE fiber bundle of the weft fiber strands, each bundle of PTFE The number of fiber fibers is 150 to 400, and each fiber is 10 denier or more. The filter cloth woven by the warp fiber and the weft fiber yarn has a warp density of 12 to 22 bundles/cm, a latitudinal density of 12 to 22 bundles/cm, and a warp strength of 1000 to 4500 N/2.5 cm. The surface of the filter cloth woven by the warp fiber yarn and the weft fiber strand is coated with a PTFE film to a strength of 1000 to 4000 N/2.5 cm. Compared with the traditional filter material, the filter felt has the following effects: excellent temperature resistance, high temperature resistance of 250 ° C; good acid and alkali resistance, good oxidation resistance; smooth surface, easy to clean, low running resistance; Low friction, flame retardancy, insulation and heat insulation; high filtration efficiency and long service life.

    PTFE staple fiber can be used to manufacture needle felt for filtration; PTFE woven yarn can be used to make base fabric scrim of needle felt, because it has long service life, not only can be used as PTFE felt The base fabric can also be used for the base fabric of other types of high-performance fiber felts; the Teflon sewing thread can be used for the manufacture of various types of filters.
